Buds and weed in Namangan, Uzbekistan - my impression

Hello dear rasta audience🤝Want to tell my story about adventures with weed in Namangan, with some stories of local inhabitant.

You are probably aware that marijuana laws are different in different places. This article should shed light on cannabis regulations in Namangan, what do local people and cops think about weed, hash availability, pricing, my own experience etc.

My trip to Namangan is over, these 10 days were perfect, so while memory is fresh I decided to write this post, who knows may be useful to someone. Being a regular cannabis smoker I could not imagine my stay in Namangan without some daily joints. So from the very first day of my stay I started looking for weed…

Where can one acquire cannabis in Namangan?

Although I personally didn't face any issues with obtaining cannabis in Namangan thanks to Joe, he did enlighten me about the process (and not just related to cannabis).

Typically, higher-level dealers procure their inventory from wholesale darknet websites. In theory, you could navigate the complexities of using darknet platforms to have your order delivered in a matter of days or even weeks. The website thehiddenwiki.com provides all the necessary links to make purchases in the darknet using the Tor browser and cryptocurrencies. However, this method is generally more suitable for those seeking larger quantities and have the luxury of time (several days) for delivery.

If you are the person who doesn't want to wait or you vacation in Namangan is too short for waiting, only the local dealer can save your time and help with weed. Of course, you can just use the familiar way many people find it to wander around the city looking for a stranger who can offer you a small variety of joints for cash. But I think it's not the best manner to waste your time in Namangan. In our time almost all sellers work online and use cryptocurrency, so walking around the streets may not bring you any results. Now the way of buying cannabis has become more convenient - you get some contact of a dealer, write to him via messenger, choose what you want to buy, pay via crypto and get the delivery to a hotel or previously discussed place. If you don't know any contact of a dealer just ask some barmans or just use google. One more point you should notice that dealers try not to have a personal meeting with the buyer, so the package of weed is just placed in the previously discussed place and you get the photo and GPS tag of the exact place of your purchase.

I was really surprised because I was totally sure that “cash rules the roost”. But now when you can easily convert cryptocurrency to real cash and this point excludes personal meetings thereby, cash started to lose their positions in the drug business. Joe also advised me if you are not familiar with the crypto world, just ask your friends. He was totally sure that everyone nowadays has at least one friend who is close to the crypto and likes smoking as well. So you can just ask him to make the transaction for you. It is absolutely safe for both sides.

Attitude of Namangan locals to weed

You already know that good non-medical marijuana with high % THC is not something you can officially buy in a branded cannabis shop in Namangan, but this does not mean locals are too much against weed 😃. Youngsters and students are definitely those who share their love of cannabis and welcome new smokers in their circles. They can not imagine a good party without having a joint or two, while it’s hard to join them if you are already a “25+ old man”.

In general smoking some occasional joint after a long working week is a pleasant tradition among many people in Namangan, so no one will point fingers at you seeing how you are smoking weed, but better to avoid doing this publicly just not to bring useless attention.

We were a little drunk already when Joe offered a joint of some noname sativa strain, of course I agreed. We were smoking not far from my hotel and it seems I saw other guys doing the same near another cornet 🙂So may say locals are not against weed, I saw this myself.

I liked the weed Joe shared, not the best one I’ve ever tried, but good enough. So I asked Joe to share contacts of his dealer, while he refused telling me his dealer works only with an old trusted set of clients. So I simply asked Joe if he could be my dealer during the nearest days - he agreed. I wish everyone to find his own Joe in Namangan🙂

Marijuana regulations in Namangan, Uzbekistan

You should know that storage and distribution of non-medical cannabis is forbidden and strictly regulated by laws of Uzbekistan. This means you can not go and buy some good weed in an official shop like you may do in Canada for example. Low THC and high CBD cannabis may be ordered if you have a prescription from a doctor.

On my first evening in Namangan I met Joe who moved here a couple of years ago. I got lucky - he was one of the heavy weed smokers, so he agreed to share a joint with me and tell me some stories about local dealers. As he said from the very beginning - even though weed is prohibited in Namangan - cops are overall calm and relaxed in everything related to cannabis, this made me feel better.

How not to be arrested with marijuana in Namangan?

As Joe told me - for not to be arrested you can carry less than 10g of cannabis or 5g of hash. For the same purpose you should be sane and not use drugs in public places. Cops can just check if you are going to sell marijuana or not and confiscate it.

There are some possibilities that cops could try to get money from you if they catch you with weed in Namangan. It is not a frequent story, but you should keep in mind that some cops prefer to force you to pay some money for your calmness. But not to propose money first because it can be regarded as a separate crime. So the easiest way is not to be caught with weed in Namangan 😉.
